HAMPTON -- The TransCanada Highway in Hampton is closed due to an accident that occurred during the morning commute.
RCMP members are at the scene and are unavailable to comment on how many vehicles are involved or whether there are any serious injuries.
The travelling public is asked to find alternate routes. The highway closure is by the Me and The Missus store.
RCMP says roads are ice-covered and the wind is causing ground drifting and blowing snow. Drivers are asked to slow down and drive with caution.
