OYSTER BED BRIDGE -

OYSTER BED BRIDGE - The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour is heading to Prince Edward Island for the second of 11 races for the regional touring series.

The Part for Trucks 100 will take place at Oyster Bed Speedway on Saturday. Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials will begin at 5:10 p.m., with the green flag set to fall at 6 p.m. Saturday's event will also feature street stocks and mini racing (4 cylinders).

Gates open at 1 p.m., and tickets will be available at the venue.

The Parts for Trucks 100 is the first of only two visits for the pro stocks to the quarter-mile oval this season. Approximately 30 drivers will attempt to qualify for the 100-lap feature.

The tour has a solid lineup of talented Island drivers, all of whom will be looking to take the checkered flag on home soil in front of what is expected to be a soldout crowd.

After winning at Riverside International Speedway last weekend, Greg Proude of Springvale will certainly be one to watch as he tries to take home the first two trophies of the 2010 season.

Kent Vincent, Jonathan Hicken and Chris Hughes are fellow Island drivers who could also appear in victory lane.

The Parts for Trucks Challenge comes into play this weekend at Oyster Bed Speedway. The Parts for Trucks Challenge is a contingency program in which drivers accumulate points based on their finishing positions in each of the four Parts for Trucks-sponsored events during the 2010 season.

A cash bonus is paid to the top three Parts for Trucks Challenge point-getters at the year-end dinner.

Last season, eventual CPST Champion, Shawn Turple (Enfield, N.S.) took home the first-place cheque, followed by Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, N.B.) and Proude.
