MONCTON, N.B. – The Summerside Senators captured the Atlantic Hockey Group’s Prospect Series Tier 2 peewee championship here recently.

Andre Arsenault’s goal with 5:36 remaining in the third period proved to be the difference in the Senators’ 4-3 win over the New Brunswick Pink Panthers in the final.
Austin Arsenault (1-1), John Dorgan and Matthew Campbell also scored for the Senators. Logan Blacquiere (2), Ryley Campbell, Clay Campbell, Cameron Murray, Jackson MacDougall and Matt Rogerson added assists.
Catherine Foulem (1-1), Megan Williston and Tayler Leblanc replied for the Pink Panthers. Janelle Bastarache had an assist.
Zackery DesRoches was solid in picking up the goaltending win, and Annick Boudreau had a strong game in goal for the Pink Panthers.
Andre Arsenault was named the Senators’ player of the game.
In preliminary play, the Senators defeated the Shediac Canucks 8-1.
Matthew Campbell (2-1), Austin Arsenault (2-1), Logan Blacquiere (1-2), Ryley Campbell (1-1), Cameron Murray and Matt Rogerson scored for the Senators. Clay Campbell (3), Jackson MacDougall (2), John Dorgan and Tyler Gallant added assists. Noah Bourque, assisted by Jaden Monk and Sylvie Dupuis, replied for the Canucks. Dylan Richard had a strong game between the pipes to pick up the goaltending win.
Matthew Campbell was the Senators’ player of the game.
Finish spring season
The Senators finished the spring season with a 12-0 (won-lost) record in the seven-team league. Strong team play, offensive and defensive contributions from all three lines, and solid goaltending were the keys to the team’s success.
The Senators will be playing in the Atlantic Cup in Halifax, N.S., from May 30 to June 1.
