The Canadian sledge hockey team lost 3-0 to the United States Thursday in the semifinal at the Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

Summerside’s Billy Bridges is a member of the Canadian squad, which will play Norway for bronze on Saturday. He had two shots, two penalty minutes, was a -1 in 21:47 of ice time.

"I appreciate all the support from everyone," Bridges said on Twitter. "Tonight's loss was brutal. But please keep the support going as we bounce back and go for bronze."

The American held period leads of 2-0 and 3-0.

Declan Farmer had two goals and an assist while Steve Cash made 11 saves for the shut out.
