Caps now focusing on post-season

SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside Western Capitals will begin preparing for the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) playoffs this week.

The fourth-place Capitals open the best-of-seven Roger Meek Division semifinal series on the road against the first-place Miramichi Timberwolves on Saturday night. The teams return to Summerside for Game 2 on Monday, March 17, at 7 p.m.

The Capitals finished the regular season at 24-23-2-3 (won-lost-overtime losses-shootout losses), good enough for 53 points. The Timberwolves posted a record of 37-10-0-5.

The teams will play Game 3 in Miramichi, N.B., on Wednesday, March 19, with Game 4 back at Eastlink Arena on Friday, March 21, at 7 p.m.
