QMJHL’s Islanders drop 5-2 decision

SYDNEY, N.S. – Kyle Farrell and Charles-Eric Légaré each scored two goals to lead the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles to a 5-2 win over the Charlottetown Islanders in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action here Friday night.

Jérémy Beaudry also scored for Cape Breton, which improved to 34-26-1-3 (won-lost-overtime losses-shootout losses). Daniel Sprong netted both goals for the Islanders (20-38-2-5).

The period scores were 1-1 and 2-2.

Alex Bureau earned the goaltending win over Mason McDonald. Cape Breton outshot Charlottetown 44-28.
