Beauvais named BCHL’s top defenceman

PENTICTON, B.C. – Brett Beauvais of Summerside was named the top defenceman in the British Columbia Hockey League’s regular season.

Beauvais, who plays with the Penticton Vees, led all BCHL defencemen in scoring with 13 goals and 58 points in 57 games and finished second in power-play assists with 25. He had 10 more points than the second-highest scoring blue-liner.

Beauvais, who is ranked 134th in the National Hockey League Central Scouting Service mid-term rankings for North American skaters, was also named a first-team all-star.
