CHARLOTETOWN – Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces forward Brett Gaudet and John Miller of the Southside Lynx have been recognized as the players of the week in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League.

Gaudet had an eight-point week that included scoring the double-overtime winner on Sunday night to send the Aces to the league championship series. Gaudet’s goal gave the Aces a 3-1 series victory over the Belfast Sabres in the best-of-five semifinal.
Gaudet repeated his clutch play from two weeks ago, when the Aces advanced over North River. He is the league’s post-season leading goal-scorer, with 11 in eight games, and is second in points – 15.
Miller came off the bench facing a 3-0 deficit before Game 4 of the semifinal series against the Souris Hawks was two minutes old. Miller stopped all 25 shots he faced the rest of the way, and the Lynx rallied to stave off elimination and force a fifth and deciding game.
Miller then stopped 32 shots in Southside’s 6-4 series-clinching win in Game 5.
Gaudet and Miller will see lots of each in the near future, as the Aces and Lynx will meet in the best-of-five championship series.
