CHARLOTTETOWN – The Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild moved to within two wins of the P.E.I. provincial major midget hockey championship.

The Wild downed the Charlottetown Mark’s Work Wearhouse Islanders 7-4 on Sunday afternoon to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. The series winner will represent P.E.I. at the Atlantic major midget hockey championship tournament in New Glasgow, N.S., from April 3 to 6.

Game 3 is at Community Gardens in Kensington on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
