TIGNISH – Rob Hicken tied the game late in the third period, and then scored the overtime winner to give the Belfast Sabres a 4-3 win over the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces on Friday night.

The best-of-five semifinal series in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League is now tied 1-1, with Game 3 in Belfast on Saturday at 8 p.m. The fourth game will be back in Tignish on Sunday, also at 8 p.m.
At the Tignish Credit Union Arena, Hicken scored with 4:02 remaining in the third period to force overtime, and then netted the winner with 5:03 to go in the first extra session.
Brady Doiron (1-1) and Lee Shepherd also scored for Belfast, which received two assists from Connor Lea.
For the Aces, Brett Gaudet (2) and the Regal Cresting player-of-the-game Charlie Bernard found the back of the net. Riley Shea assisted on two of the Tignish goals.
There was no score after the first period, and the teams went into the third frame tied 2-2.
Winning goaltender was Ben Ladner, and Chase Dyment took the loss. The Sabres outshot the Aces 36-35, including a 5-1 advantage in overtime.
