CHARLOTTETOWN – Two members of the Souris Hawks swept the player-of-the-week awards in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League.

Forward Jordan Roche took the offensive honour and the defensive award went to goaltender Seth Nicholson, who helped the Hawks take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five semifinal series against the top-seeded Southside Lynx.

Nicholson was very busy and held the Crapaud-based Lynx to just four goals in the first two games while stopping 69 of 73 shots for a save percentage of .945.

Roche scored two key goals three minutes apart, including the winner, to pull the Hawks to within a game of advancing to the league final.

Roche is tied for the league lead in playoff goals with six, and is coming off a solid rookie season in which he was second in team scoring.
