Eagles hold on to edge Islanders

SYDNEY, N.S. – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles led 5-1 after two periods, and held on to defeat the Charlottetown Islanders 6-4 in a Quebec Major Junior Hockey League game here on Friday night.

Guillaume Gauthier (2-2), Raphael Corriveau (2-1), Darcy Cameron (1-1) and Jeremy Beaudry (1-1) scored for Cape Breton, which led 3-1 after the first period.

Bradley Kennedy (2), Spenser Cobbold (1-2) and Daniel Sprong replied for Charlottetown.
