Gaudet scored a hat trick in the Aces’ series-clinching victory in Cornwall over the North River Flames on Monday night. He also had two goals and an assist in the Aces’ come-from-behind win in Game 3.

Gaudet has been a key playoff performer in each of the last three seasons for the Aces, and has continued that trend so far this year.

Defensive honour

Belfast Sabres defenceman Connor Lea was selected as the defensive player of the week.

Lea scored the series-clinching goal halfway through the third period to help the Sabres eliminate the Sherwood Falcons in four games of the best-of-five quarter-final series. Every game was decided by one goal.

Lea also played strong defensively in the series.
