CHARLOTTETOWN – Kenya Marceilline’s goal at 18:01 of the first period proved to be the difference for the St. Thomas Tommies on Friday night.

The Tommies, who upped their record to 11-7-4 (won-lost-overtime losses) edged the UPEI Panthers 1-0 in an Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey game at MacLauchlan Arena on the UPEI campus. The Panthers fell to 8-13-1.

Kristin Wolfe recorded a 26-save shutout while UPEI goaltender Marie-Soleil Deschenes faced 18 shots.

UPEI hosts Saint Mary’s on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
