KENSINGTON – The Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild will play their second-last home game of the 2013-14 New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League regular season on Saturday night.
The Saint John Vitos will provide the opposition at Community Gardens in a 7:30 start.
The Wild goes into the game at 12-16-3 (won-lost-overtime/shootout losses) while the Vitos (22-7-1) took a two-point lead into Friday’s home game against second-place Moncton (21-9-1).
This will be the second of three meetings between the Wild and Vitos over the final 19 days of the regular season. The Vitos outscored the Wild 9-7 in Kensington on Jan. 29, and the teams will close out the regular season against each other in Saint John on Sunday, Feb. 16.
The Wild will visit the Charlottetown Islanders on Sunday, Feb. 9, in a preview of the P.E.I. major midget championship series. Game time at MacLauchlan Arena on the UPEI campus is 1:45 p.m.
The Wild’s final home game of the regular season is against Moncton on Saturday, Feb. 15.
