The Aces will host the North River Flames in Game 1 of the best-of-five quarter-final series at the Tignish Credit Union Arena. The opening faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

It’s the first playoff meeting in three years for these two clubs, and Aces co-coach Brian Hogan is expecting a tight series. Both teams battled each other hard during the regular season, with the Aces winning all four meetings by one goal, including two overtime decisions.

There is a strong playoff history between these two games as they met in the post-season for five years in a row from 2006 to 2011.

Aces co-coach Mike O’Halloran is expecting to have Brett Gaudet, Jake Hackett and Evangeline native Troy Gallant back in the lineup this weekend.

The Aces have yet to announce who will start in goal as Chase Dyment is coming off a terrific regular season while Hackett has plenty of playoff experience.
