TIGNISH – The Southside Lynx outlasted the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces 7-5 in a Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League contest here at the Credit Union Arena recently.

Cody Dawson (2-1), Colton Dawson (1-3), Rob Miller (1-2), Spencer Dougay (1-1), Greg Beckingham and Andy Murphy scored for the Lynx, who clinched first place in the regular season with the win. Alex MacLeod and Sawyer Mayne added assists.

Tyson Carragher (2), Kirk Ramsay (1-1), Andrew Doucette and Slade Handrahan countered for the Aces. Karter Hackett (2), Parker Arsenault (2), Calvin McRae, Rylie Shea and Charlie Bernard chipped in with assists.

The teams were tied 2-2 after the opening period, and the Lynx took a 5-4 advantage into the second intermission.

Winning goaltender was John Miller. Chase Dyment tended goal for the Aces, who outshot the Lynx 46-36.

Referee Brett Servos called two minors, one 10-minute misconduct, two fighting majors, one game misconduct and one double-game misconduct against the Lynx. The Aces picked up four minors, two fighting majors, one game misconduct and one double-game misconduct.

Doucette was named the Aces’ Regal Cresting player of the game.
