MONTAGUE – Ten teams will be participating in the 2014 P.E.I. Tankard provincial men’s curling championship at the Montague Curling Rink from Feb. 5 to 9.

The field consists of 10 teams. Eight of those are from the Charlottetown Curling Complex, including defending-champion Eddie MacKenzie rink. There is one entry from the host Montague club and one from the Cornwall Curling Club.

The teams will play a triple-knockout draw, qualifying four teams for a Page championship round that will determine the winning team to advance to the Tim Hortons Brier in Kamloops, B.C., from March 1 to 9.

Four teams were seeded based on cashspiel winnings this season. They are: 1. Jamie Newson, 2. Robert Campbell, 3. Rod MacDonald, 4. Blair Weeks.

Donald Clarey, Tyler Harris, Bill Hope, Blair Jay, Eddie MacKenzie and Kyle Stevenson skip the non-seeded teams.

Clarey curls out of the host Montague club while Hope is from Cornwall. The other rinks are from Charlottetown.

The draw and schedule, along with full team rosters, are now available at the event website –
