Carragher has been selected as the offensive player of the week. His five-point night on Saturday helped the Aces to a 6-5 overtime win against the North River Flames. Carragher has 12 points in his first 10 games with the Aces.

Sherwood Falcons goaltender Steven Lannigan is the league’s defensive player of the week.

Lannigan recorded his first shutout of the season – a 6-0 decision – against the Souris Hawks. He held the Hawks scoreless over 110 minutes in back-to-back wins, and was also strong in a 5-3 loss to the Belfast Sabres on Monday night.

Lannigan has sparked the Falcons, who have proven they will be a tough team in the playoffs despite being the seventh seed.
