The Caps entertain the Sherwood Falcons on Friday at 8:15 p.m., and the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces visit on Saturday at 7:15 p.m.

The Capitals, who are 13-10-1 (won-lost-overtime/shootout losses), are fourth in the seven-team loop, four behind third-place Tignish (15-8-1).

The Capitals’ Catlin Sonier has provided solid goaltending the past month, and sits second overall in league wins with 11. Team captain Greg Arsenault continues to sit atop the league as the top sniper with 21 goals, including a hot streak in which he netted 15 goals in nine games.

The Summerside squad skates into weekend action having won nine of its last 13 games after struggling early in the season, and is fresh off a hard-fought 2-1 road win against the second-place Belfast Sabres.

Tignish, meanwhile, is coming off a tough 6-5 overtime win on the road against the North River Flames, and came from behind with a short bench for a 4-3 win over the Capitals at The Plex on Jan. 14.

The Capitals have four games remaining in the 28-game regular season, and will be battling hard to secure home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
