Chebucto Atlantics win 3-2 over Sackville Flyers

SUMMERSIDE - Sixteen Maritime teams converged on Credit Union Place over the weekend, contesting the P.E.I. Police Association 2014 Bantam "A" hockey tournament.

Acadia Jr. Axemen player Wesley Weatherbee evades Tignish Aces players Ashton Johnston and Bailey Perry, but neither team was able to escape thier pool to advance to semi-final action at the P.E.I. Police Association 2014 Bantam "A" tournament played over the weekend at Credit Union Place.

The tournament title went to the Chebucto Atlantics, who defeated the Sackville Flyers by a score of 3-2 in the final match.

None of the six Island teams were able to secure spots in the semi-finals.

The Sackville Flyers advanced from Pool A to overcome the the Dartmouth Whalers from Pool B by a score of 3-0 in the first semi-final. The second playoff match saw the Pool C leading Chebucto Atlantics down the Halifax Hawks from Pool D by a score of 4-2, to set up the championship contest.
