Third place on line as Caps host Aces on Tuesday

SLEMON PARK – The Summerside Source for Sports Capitals have an opportunity to move into a third-place tie with the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces on Tuesday night.

The two teams will play a make-up game in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League at The Plex in Slemon Park at 8:20 p.m.

The Aces come into the game at 13-7-1 (won-lost-overtime/shootout losses) while the Capitals are two points back at 12-9-1. Tignish does have one game-in-hand.

The Capitals, who are coming off a hard-fought 4-3 win in Souris on Sunday night, have won five of their last six games. Tignish dropped a 4-1 decision to the league-leading Southside Lynx in their last game on Sunday.

The home team has won the first regular-season meetings between the Caps and Aces. Tignish won 8-4 and 5-4 at home while the Caps prevailed 7-6 in a shootout at The Plex.
