Vipers’ line has big game against Falcons

KENSINGTON – The forward line of Jordan Mayhew, Kyle Doucette and Jeremy Jollimore was clicking on all cylinders here at Community Gardens on Sunday night.

The trio combined for 14 points in the Vipers’ 11-4 victory over the Sherwood A&S Scrap Metal Falcons in the Island Junior Hockey League.

Doucette and Mayhew each had two goals and three assists while Jollimore contributed a goal and three helpers. Spencer Montgomery (2-1), Adam Wight (2-1), Spencer McAllister and Zen Hamil also scored for the Vipers, who made it back-to-back weekend wins after a 6-2 road decision over the Holland College Hurricanes on Saturday night.

Josh Kirkpatrick (2-1), Connor Dillon and Craig Dougan replied for the Falcons.

The Vipers built period leads of 3-1 and 6-3.

Winning goaltender was Dylan McQuaid.

Referee Mike Annear called six of eight minor penalties against the Vipers.

    Nice to see vipers add key player from caps hmm !!! Wonder how that happens league is a joke other teams struggle !! soon b just like SR league
