Three-goal first period keys Lynx win over Tignish

CRAPAUD – The Southside Lynx struck for three first-period goals, and never looked back en route to a 4-1 victory over the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces on Sunday night.

The South Shore Actiplex in Crapaud was the site of the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League game.

Brandon Green (1-1), Joel McIsaac (1-1), Andy Murphy and Rob Miller scored for the first-place Lynx, who improved to 17-2-3 (won-lost-overtime/shootout losses).

Riley Shea countered for the Aces (13-7-1).

The Lynx led 3-0 after the first and second periods.

Dylan Garnhum earned the goaltending win over Chase Dyment.

Referee Trevor Timmons called five of the game’s six minor penalties against the Aces.
