Flames rally for OT win

CORNWALL – The North River Flames rallied for a dramatic 5-4 overtime victory over the Sherwood Falcons in a Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League game here at the APM Centre on Saturday night.

Brady Vukicevic tied the game with 46 seconds remaining in the third period, and Jeremy MacAulay scored the winning goal on a power play in overtime as the Flames overcame period deficits of 2-1 and 4-2 .

Cameron MacMurdo (1-1), Andy Stultz (1-1) and Logan LeClair scored for the Flames, who improved to 8-12-2 (won-lost-overtime/shootout losses). Cody Keenan (2), Craig Campbell and Everett McQuaid drew assists.

Jake MacLean (2), Zack Gould (1-1) and Brady Sinnott replied for the Falcons (1-18-2). Single helpers went to Jordan Arsenault and Alex Hughes.

Taylor Doyle picked up the goaltending win. Tyler Gould was the Falcons goaltender.

Referee Steve Dyer called seven minors against the Falcons while the Flames received three minors and one game misconduct.
