Panthers storm back with big third period to defeat Dalhousie

CHARLOTTETOWN - Travis McIsaac had two goals and an assist to lead the UPEI Panthers to a 4-2 victory Sunday over the Dalhousie Tigers in Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey action.

All of the Panthers goals came in the third period after the Tigers had scored twice in the second to take the lead heading to the final stanza.

Cole MacMillan and Chris DeSousa (empty net goal) also scored and had an assist for the host Panthers. Reggie Traccitto had three assists in the win.

Patrick Daley and Fabian Walsh scored for Dalhousie with assists from Matt English, Andrew Wigginton and Brett Plouffe.

Mavric Parks made 19 saves for the win while Bobby Nadeau stopped 38 shots in the loss.

Dalhousie was 0-for-3 on the power play while UPEI was 2-for-7.

The game was postponed due to Friday’s storm.

The Panthers improved to 7-6-1 while Dalhousie 1-14-1.
