To cap successful weekend for Summerside

CHARLOTTETOWN – Catlin Sonier registered a 29-save shutout in backstopping the Summerside Source for Sports Capitals to a 4-0 victory over the Sherwood Falcons on Sunday evening.

It was the second road win in as many days for the Capitals, who defeated the North  River Flames 2-1 on Saturday evening.

The Capitals improved their record to 10-8-1 (won-lost-overtime/shootout losses) in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League.

At the Cody Banks Arena, Greg Arsenault (2), Travis Thibideau (1-1) and Matt MacDonald (1-1) scored for the Capitals. Josh Bernard (2) and Brittan Turner added assists.

The Capitals held period leads of 2-0 and 3-0.

The Falcons dropped to 1-17-1.
