After doubling Souris 6-3

SLEMON PARK – The Summerside Source for Sports Capitals moved into a fourth-place tie with the Souris Hawks in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League on Friday night.

The Capitals doubled the Hawks 6-3 to improve to 8-8-1 (won-lost-overtime/shootout losses), good enough for 17 points. Souris also has 17 points on the strength of an 8-6-1 resumé.

At The Plex, Greg Arsenault’s three goals sparked the Capitals, who received single goals off the sticks of Matt MacDonald, Tyler Dexter and Travis Thibideau.

For Souris, Darcy Nicholson (2) and Jordan Roche countered.

The teams were tied 1-1 after the opening period, and the Capitals took a 3-2 lead into the second intermission.

Winning goaltender was Catlin Sonier.
