Forward Riley Shea was named the offensive player of the week, and goaltender Chase Dyment took the defensive award.
Shea recorded all three of his points during the Aces’ dramatic third-period comeback against the Summerside Source for Sports Capitals on Dec. 20. He scored the third goal and assisted on the last two, including the winner, as the Aces erased a two-goal deficit to earn a 5-4 win
Shea is currently second in league scoring.
Dyment backstopped the surging Aces to another win against the Capitals. His 11-save third period contributed to Tignish’s win over Summerside.
Dyment has been the busiest goalie in the league this year by far, with 851 minutes played and having appeared in 14 of the Aces' 16 games thus far.
The win versus Summerside enabled him to equal his win total from last season. He now has a league-high 10 wins.
