Michael Evoy scored the winner Sunday as the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild beat the Charlottetown Mark’s Work Wearhouse Islanders 4-1 in New Brunswick/Prince Edward Island Major Midget Hockey League action.
Abel Arsenault, Campbell Gallant and Cole Hackett also scored in the win. Sam Jay had a pair of assists while singles went to Gallant, Parker Ronahan, Arsenault and Max Morrison.
Johnathon Larter scored unassisted for the Islanders.
Bradley Shea turned aside 26 shots for the win while Sam Walsh made 32 saves in the loss.
The Wild improves to 8-11-0-1 while the Islanders fall to 4-15-0-2.
The Wild has won three of the four meetings this season with their provincial counterparts.
The teams meet again on Boxing Day in Kensington at 7:30 p.m.
