Gaudet earns win for Mariners vs. Caps

SUMMERSIDE – Chase Gaudet made 32 saves in the Yarmouth Mariners' 7-3 win over the Summerside Western Capitals on Saturday night.

Summerside native Chase Gaudet earned the win for the Yarmouth Mariners in a 7-3 decision over the Summerside Western Capitals in MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) play at Eastlink Arena on Saturday night.

The MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) contest was played before an announced crowd of 583 fans at Eastlink Arena.

Gaudet’s busiest period was the third, when he stopped all 16 shots directed his way. Gaudet, a Summerside native, was named the game’s second star.

Danny Wicks, the game's first star, led the Mariners with two goals and an assist.

Cavan Fitzgerald and Joey Coltarci, who was named third star, each had a goal and an assist to lead the Capitals.
