CHICAGO – Hamilton Bulldogs defenceman Morgan Ellis of East Bideford scored his third goal of the 2013-14 American Hockey League season in a very unusual fashion on Wednesday afternoon.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring at 10:47 of Wednesday afternoon’s game against the Chicago Wolves. A delayed penalty was being called against the Bulldogs, and the puck deflected off a Chicago player’s skate the length of the ice into the open Wolves net. Ellis was credited with the unassisted short-handed goal.
