Flames trim Falcons

CHARLOTTETOWN – Cameron MacMurdo and Brad Power each had four points to lead the North River Flames to a 9-0 trimming of the Sherwood Falcons in a Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League game here at the Cody Banks Arena on Monday night.

MacMurdo had one goal and three assists while Power chipped in with four helpers in helping the Flames improve to 5-7-2 (won-lost-overtime/shootout losses).

Cody White (2-1), Justin Holroyd (2), Jeremy MacAulay (1-1), Brady McQuaid (1-1) and Reed Gallant rounded out North River’s scoring. Everett McQuaid (2), Dan MacPhee (2), Lal Hennessey, Logan LeClair and Chad Sanderson collected assists.

Taylor Doyle recorded the shutout, and the Flames led 4-0 after the first and second periods.

Referee Mike Annear called three minor penalties against each team.

The Falcons dropped to 1-13-1.
