Boyce earns

assist for Falcons

NORFOLK, Va. – Darryl Boyce of Summerside earned an assist for the Springfield Falcons in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Norfolk Admirals in the American Hockey League on Friday night.

Boyce assisted on the game’s first goal by Frederic St-Denis, which came on a power play.

In 25 regular-season games with the Falcons, Boyce has 12 points, including five goals, and is a plus-3.

Andrews picks up

point for Mooseheads

CHICOUTIMI, Que. – Brent Andrews of Hunter River picked up an assist for the Halifax Mooseheads on Saturday.

The Mooseheads dropped a 6-2 road decision to the Chicoutimi Saguenéens.

In 34 regular-season games, Andrews has 37 points – 16 goals and 21 assists – and is a plus-23.

Gaudet gives up seven

goals in Yarmouth loss

YARMOUTH, N.S. – The Miramichi Timberwolves scored seven goals on Yarmouth Mariners goaltender Chase Gaudet of Summerside on Saturday night.

The Timberwolves went on to win the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) game 9-5.

Gaudet, who faced 26 shots in 47 minutes of action, was relieved by Anderson Snair for the final 13 minutes.
