Kings County visits Eastlink Arena on Thursday

SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside Capitals are anxious to hit the ice here at Eastlink Arena on Thursday night.

The Capitals will host the Kings County Kings in a P.E.I. Irving Oil Bantam AAA Hockey League contest that will get underway at 7:30.

The Capitals, who haven’t played since a road win over the Mid-Isle Matrix on Dec. 1, will be looking to improve on their 8-2-1 (won-lost-tied) record against the hard-working Kings (2-13-0).

“Not playing a game in 11 days should be enough motivation for the boys to come out flying,” said Capitals head coach Todd Richard. “We have been practising hard the last couple of weeks, and the boys are coming together and buying into the system.”

The Kings are coming off a close 3-2 loss to the Charlottetown Abbies on Dec. 6.
