With 5-3 decision over Souris

SLEMON PARK – The Summerside Source for Sports Capitals continued their improved play in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League here at The Plex on Friday night.

Summerside built period leads of 1-0 and 4-2 en route to its fourth straight win – a 5-3 decision over the Souris Hawks.

Greg Arsenault’s three-goal effort led the Capitals, who improved to 6-6-1 (won-lost-overtime/shootout losses). Tyler Peters and Josh Bernard chipped in with single assists.

Jordan Roche (2) and TJ Donahue provided goals for Souris (8-4-1).

Catlin Sonier earned the goaltending win over Seth Nicholson.

Referee Brent Servos called 11 minors and two 10-minute misconducts against the Capitals. The Hawks were whistled for nine minors.

The Capitals visit the league-leading Southside Lynx in Crapaud on Saturday. Game time at the South Shore Actiplex is 7:40 p.m.
