Forward Zack MacDonald took the offensive award while goaltender Jake Campbell was named the defensive player of the week.

MacDonald, who leads the Capitals in goals scored and points, had a goal in Summerside’s 6-1 home win over the Sherwood Falcons on Friday night, and contributed a goal and an assist in a 6-1 road win over the North River Flames on Saturday night.

MacDonald has played in all 11 of the Caps’ regular-season games this season.

Campbell gave up just one goal in the second of the Caps’ dominant victories last weekend, which was the team’s third straight win.

He turned aside 19 of 20 shots against the Flames in recording his second consecutive win. In his previous outing, Campbell faced 61 shots in an overtime shootout win in Souris.
