The Panthers, who were ranked No. 10 last week, split two home games last weekend – losing 2-1 to the St. Francis Xavier X-Men on Friday, and defeating the Saint Mary’s Huskies 5-3 on Saturday night.

UPEI goes into the Christmas break sixth in the eight-team Atlantic University Sport (AUS) conference at 6-5-1 (won-lost-overtime/shootout losses).

The third-ranked Acadia Axemen moved up one spot, bumping the Gardiner MacDougall-coached UNB Varsity Reds to fourth. Acadia beat UNB 5-1 on Saturday night. They are the only two AUS teams to crack the top 10.
