KENSIGNTON – The Kensington Wild bounced back from a tough loss on Friday night to pound the Fredericton Canadiens by a 7-2 score.
After falling 9-1 to the St. John Vitos on the road, the Wild locked up a decisive home win, led by a balanced team-wide scoring effort.
Kyle Pinksen led the way for the Wild with two goals and one assist, along with Sam Jay, who added a goal and two assists, and Dillon Wall with a trio of helpers.
Down 2-1 late in the second period, the Wild began an offensive onslaught that saw them score six straight goals before the end of the contest.
Also scoring for the Wild were Evan Millman with a pair, and Austin Taylor and Michael Evoy with singles.
Other assists went to Colton Chiasson (2), Cole Hackett (2), Bailey Webster and Jesse Annear.
Cameron Visser turned aside 33 of 35 shots to pick up the win for the Wild.
