CHARLOTTETOWN – Mason Baker’s unassisted goal at 4:09 of overtime gave the Holland College Hurricanes a wild 10-9 victory over the Sherwood A&S Scrap Metal Falcons on Wednesday night.

The Island Junior Hockey League game was played at the Cody Banks Arena.
The teams were tied 2-2 after one period, and the Hurricanes led 7-4 at the end of 40 minutes.
Pat Cummiskey (2-2), Alex Seyforth (2-2), John Grimmer (2), Curtis Martell (1-2), Logan Welsh (1-1) and Blake Ozon also scored for the Hurricanes, who improved to 2-1-2 (won-lost-overtime losses).
Craig Dougan’s six-point effort – two goals and four assists – led the way for the Falcons (2-2-1). Josh Scott netted a hat trick and added two helpers while single goals came off the sticks of Harrison Nicholson (1-1), Josh Kirkpatrick (1-1), Matt McQuaid and Kyle Keoughan.
Overall, the Falcons outshot the Hurricanes 47-41.
League action resumes on Friday, with the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings visiting the Montague Maniacs at 7:30 p.m.
