BADDECK, N.S. – Nova Scotia won the team competition at the inaugural Atlantic golf championship here at Bell Bay Golf Club on Saturday.
Led by divisional wins in the men's and women's senior categories, and a victory in women's amateur, the Bluenose contingent held off a late charge from Prince Edward Island to win by three points.
Play continues on Sunday as the tournament moves to individual stroke-play competition with no team component.
Point totals were awarded per division, with the team finishing first earning four points; second place three points; third place two points, and fourth place one point. The final standings were:
