CRAPAUD – The Crapaud Community Curling Club is this year's host for the Advantage Communications Provincial Junior Mixed Curling Championships, which starts today.
The James Dalton combined team from the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside and the Cornwall Curling Club won the under-16 division last year.

The Kyle Holland rink from the Charlottetown Curling Complex and the Cornwall Curling Club was the under-21 champion.

Dalton is back this year in the under-21 division.

Three teams are entered this year in the double round robin under-16 section, while five have signed up for the under-21, which will use a single round-robin format.

The top two teams out of the under-16 double round robin will advance to the 6 p.m. final on Sunday, unless a team goes undefeated, in which case they will be declared the champion without playing the final.

The second and third place finishers from the under-21 round robin will play in a semifinal at 2 p.m. on Sunday, with the winner taking on the first-place finisher in the 6 p.m. final.

Opening draw is today at 7 p.m., with Friday's action at 2 and 6 p.m., and opening ceremonies at 5:15 p.m.

Saturday's play is at 10 a.m. and 2 and 6 p.m., with a tiebreaker round, if required, going at 10 a.m. Sunday, followed by the 2 p.m. under-21 semifinal, and the 6 p.m. under-21, and, if needed, under-16 finals.
