MONTAGUE – Jamie Newson will face Eddie MacKenzie in the P.E.I. Tankard final.
The two rinks will decide the provincial men’s curling championship and P.E.I.’s representative at the Tim Hortons Brier in Kamloops, B.C., from March 1 to 9. The first rock is scheduled to be thrown at 7 p.m.
Newson advanced to the final by defeating Blair Jay 6-4 in Sunday afternoon’s semifinal.
MacKenzie punched his ticket to the final with a 7-6 win in an extra end over Newson in the Page A-vs.-B final on Saturday night.
