MOSCOW, Russia – They’re having some trouble adjusting to the natural ice installed in Moscow’s Red Square for the Red Square Curling Classic, but the Brad Gushue rink has made it into the semifinals.

Adam Casey of Seven Mile Bay and Brett Gallant of Charlottetown are members of Team Gushue.

The event includes eight teams in two pools of four, with the top two of each pool advancing to the semifinals. Games, which are being played in the cold temperatures, are only four ends, with extra ends if needed.

Gushue finished the round robin with a 2-1 (won-lost) record, and plays Team Russia, Moscow, Kirikov, at 5 a.m., Atlantic time on Wednesday.

The other semi sees Team Russia, Adamant club, Tselousov, take on the Peter DeCruz rink from Switzerland.
