CHARLOTTETOWN – Ten teams, including the defending-champion Eddie MacKenzie rink, will be participating in the Curl P.E.I. 2014 Tankard.

The provincial men’s curling championship will be held at the Montague Curling Club from Feb. 5 to 9.

The teams will play a triple knockout format, qualifying four teams for a Page championship round. The winning rink will advance to the Tim Hortons Brier in Kamloops, B.C., from March 1 to 9.

Seven of the 10 entries curl out of Charlottetown. They are skipped by MacKenzie, Robert Campbell, John Likely, Rod MacDonald, Jamie Newson, Kyle Stevenson and Blair Weeks. Donald Clarey skips a rink out of Montague while Tyler Harris and Bill Hope skip teams from the Cornwall Curling Club.
