SUMMERSIDE – The Dartmouth Arrows completed a dominating weekend performance in convincing fashion on Sunday afternoon.

The Arrows trimmed the Cornwall Cougars 11-1 in the championship game of the Summerside Area Baseball Association mosquito AA tournament.

The Arrows went 4-0 (won-lost), winning all four games by the 10-run rule, while outscoring their opponents 47-7.

The weather affected the schedule as Friday’s games were rained out, and the two semifinals, which were originally scheduled for Sunday morning, were dropped. The top two teams after the round robin advanced to the final.

Winning pitcher Connor Trenholm’s grand slam keyed a five-run second inning that staked the Arrows to a commanding 9-0 cushion in the final.

Cameron MacLean hit a double and triple to lead Cornwall offensively.

Jonathan Rodriguez was the pitcher of record for the Cougars.
