SUMMERSIDE – Clutch pitching by Parker Gallant and timely hitting were two big factors in the Summerside Team One Chevys pulling out a 15-14 win over the Charlottetown Royals recently.

The P.E.I. Bantam AA Baseball League game was played at Queen Elizabeth Park’s Legends Field.

Gallant came on in relief with one out in the seventh inning, and managed to shut down a Charlottetown rally to get the win. Colin McInnis, William Dorgan and Connor Barlow also pitched for the Chevys. Charlottetown reliever Andrew Killorn took the loss.

Offensively, Colin McInnis (3-3, triple), Bronson Clark (3-3) and Dakota Fear (2-2) swung hot bats for Summerside.

Ethan Spensley (2-5), Alex Frangos (1-3) and Ian Cormier (1-3) were Charlottetown’s leading hitters.
