STRATFORD – The Summerside Chevys had to shake off some early rust and overcome a seven-run deficit to remain undefeated in the P.E.I. Peewee AAA Baseball League on Wednesday.

The Chevys, playing their first game in almost two weeks, fell behind 10-3 before rallying for nine runs over the next two innings en route to a 22-12 victory over the host Stratford Athletics at Upper McNeil Field.

Bennett MacArthur (4-5, double, triple) and Brandon Gaudet (3-3, walk) each drove in five runs to lead the Chevys offensively.

Luke Garnhum batted 2-for-4 to lead Stratford.

Marcus Gauthier earned the pitching win as the Chevys improved to 8-0 (won-lost) in league play.
