Gallant has big game offensively in loss

STRATFORD – Chasse Gallant’s strong batting was not enough for Summerside in P.E.I. Midget Baseball League play on Tuesday evening.

Gallant registered a game-high three hits in four at-bats in a 6-4 road loss to the Stratford Quik Mart A’s at McNeill Field. Zach Mallett (2-2) was Summerside’s other top hitter.

Taylor MacDonald (2-3) and Marc Cummiskey (1-2) keyed Stratford’s attack.

Winning pitcher was Stephen O’Shea, and Taylor Somers took the loss.
