Grigg, Compton, DesRoches swing hot bats for Red Sox

RICHMOND – Nathan Grigg, Isaac Compton and Charlie DesRoches all swung hot bats for the Richmond Red Sox on Wednesday night.

The Red Sox outscored West Prince 14-12 in a P.E.I. Peewee AAA Baseball League game at the Ralph MacLellan Centre ball field.

Grigg went 3-for-3, including a double, and drove in three runs while Compton and DesRoches each had 2-for-2 summaries. Compton doubled, tripled and plated four runs while DesRoches also had an extra-base hit and two runs batted in.

Lucas Gallant (4-5, double), Chase Gaudette (3-5) and Carter Cahill (2-3, double) were tops at the dish for West Prince.

Austin Arsenault was the winning pitcher. Adam Arsenault and Dylan McCormack also worked from the hill for the Red Sox. Gaudette and Chandler DesRoches pitched for West Prince.
